How To Draw A Microphone

Are you interested in drawing something a little different but still fun? Then how about learning how to draw a microphone.

It's actually quite easy to draw one if you start from the top but all it really consists of is a few lines and shapes. We'll remove the details from the top of the microphone to make it more simple and easy to understand.

This drawing is a great exercise to practice drawing simple shapes and lines. So, if that's what you're looking for, this drawing is a good choice.

All you will need is a pencil, ink, and maybe a few color pencils at the end.

Reference

Here is the reference of a microphone that we will use for our drawing. However, we won't be drawing it exactly as it is in the reference since we will draw the entire microphone.

We will begin by drawing the top of the microphone and then move onto drawing the body.

Steps For Drawing A Microphone

Step 1

To draw a microphone, start off by drawing a circle. At the lower end of the circle on the left side, erase a portion of the circle so that there is an opening.

Then towards the middle of that circle, draw two parallel lines across that shape.

Step 2

Go back to the opening of the cirlce and draw a curved line facing inwards and on each end, create a mark as I have done here.

Step 3

Draw a second line to match the first one you had done in the previous step and then draw two lines coming down in an angle.

Step 4

Extend these two lines further down but make them more narrow towards the end. This will be the body of the microphone.

Step 5

Now draw another square shape but make the end of that shape slightly curved. At the bottom of the microphone, draw two short lines.

Step 6

Close of these two lines by drawing another slightly curved line. If you have followed along to my instructions, your micorphone drawing should look something like this.

You can now go on to drawing more details if you like but this drawing is overall complete.

If you're happy with the way it turned out, you can leave it as is or if you want to add color to your drawing, you may do so now at this stage.

Conclusion

A microphone turned out to be quite easy to draw and I did want to make this tutorial on how to draw a microphone more interesting by creating one to be in an angle.

You can easily envision a singer holding this microphone and rocking to a tune.
